Being Brave: Be Seen

How did you do with your challenge last week: be a tourist in your own community? Hopefully you re-discovered some enjoyment in your backyard.

Yesterday I got to be on the Good Morning Vail show to talk about Rosa Joy Co.

You might be like me. Somebody who doesn’t normally raise your hand and volunteer to speak. Personally, I don’t like to be the center of attention. And I get stage fright!

But I realized that to grow as a person (and grow my business), it’s important to Be Seen.

So, I’ve been speaking on some podcasts lately and saying yes to being a guest on the morning show.

You can imagine, that every experience like this has been terrifying in the days leading up to it (hello nightmares!). But each time it gets a little easier and then I feel more confident in my skills.

So, what’s your hang up with being seen?

Is it…

  • finding the courage to be a speaker?
  • wearing a unique outfit in public?
  • expressing your feelings?
  • giving your opinion in a work meeting?
  • Showing up for an activity you’ve never done?

Let’s work through it together.

This week’s being brave challenge is to Be Seen.

Reach down and grab some of that courage to Be Seen in a new way this coming week. Do what feels brave to you!

  • Go from “alone and doing nothing” to having weekends that are jam-packed with festivals, hikes, taking classes, and backyard barbecues with good friends.
  • Discover interesting outlets for meeting people, even if it seems like there’s not much to do where you live.
  • Most people say they want good friends, but never do anything about it. I’ll show you how to take the actions up front to not only meet new people, but to find the RIGHT friends for you.
