What’s your favorite Disney movie?
Since I was in middle school, my favorite has been Mulan (animated version).
Last night, the song, “Reflection,” started playing in my head. In fact, it’s still there as I’m writing this newsletter. While it was on loop, I realized that this was a metaphor for my own life (and possibly yours).
“Reflection” is about feeling like a person who doesn’t fit in with society and is trying so hard to be what everyone wants her to be. Right before the song, Mulan has played the part of the daughter of the house, meeting with the Matchmaker, and was informed she would never make a good bride.
The whole movie really is about Mulan going off on her own, against her family’s wishes, and stepping into her purpose as a warrior. Sure, she pretends to be a man for a while, but in the end, she shows up as her true self and saves the day, dress and all.
It’s no wonder I have loved this movie for so long.
I felt like I never quite fit in and was in the wrong career for over a decade. I knew I had a purpose, but I didn’t know what it was. So, I drifted from job to job, lying to myself about my excitement about a future in Marketing and Events.
After years of connecting to my Higher Self, Spirit Guides, and self-healing with energy techniques, I finally know with conviction I’m in my purpose as an Energy Healing Guide.
And that purpose is to teach you how to help YOU restore YOUR purpose peace and power using these same tools.
