Sacral Chakra: An Untapped Source of Power

Earlier this week, I had the joy of doing Reiki for someone with a healthy Sacral Chakra. 

What is the sacral chakra? It is the energy center of our creativity, our reproduction, sexuality, and the source of feminine and masculine power.

When a client tells me they have issues with any of the following: 

• getting pregnant
• major mood swings
• feel creatively burned out
• a poor sex life
• aren’t motivated to dress attractively/take care of their appearance
• are in constant busy-ness

…I know they have an imbalance in the Sacral Chakra.

Over the last 6 years of being a Reiki practitioner, I’ve noticed that the Sacral Chakra is often the most neglected energetic center. 

The reason? As a society, we don’t spend enough time doing creative projects. We aren’t out in nature enough. We have a difficult time slowing down and being present. And finally, many of us have trapped emotions related to sexual situations.

When I did the Reiki session earlier this week, I saw this person’s Sacral Chakra as a goddess. She looked healthy, strong, and proud. The energy was very much of a lioness and fierce mother. When I told this person what I saw, she told me she’s always drawn power from this place and used it to be a positive force in her life. 

This could be a goal for all of us. 

A healthy sacral chakra means a healthy sex life, creative life, and peaceful, emotionally balanced life.
